Robert Irwin, President and CEO of ITS, Inc, is senior advisor to the Commission, providing support and assistance in the preparation of various Commission reports. Mr. Irwin has a BA in physics from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Engineering degree from Boston University. He is also a graduate of the Banff School of Advanced Management.

Prior to starting his own consulting practice, Mr Irwin was from 1999 to 2005 President and CEO of British Columbia Transit. Before that he was employed by The City of Calgary for 17 years, where his last position was Director of Transportation.

Mr Irwin has 22 years of service in the Canadian Forces (both regular and reserve), in postings across Canada and in Germany. He was honourable released with the rank of Major. He is a graduate of the Militia Command and Staff Course.
