Established under the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Act, the TransLink Commission is the independent regulator of TransLink, the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority.

TransLink plans, finances, and provides public transit by bus, rail and commuter ferry throughout metropolitan Vancouver, through subsidiary operating companies. It is also responsible for major regional roads.

The Commission is independent of the Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation and also of TransLink’s Board of Directors and management.
